![]() I have recently finished painting & decorating an executive apartment in Guildford Surrey, The apartment is situated in the middle of town with easy access to trains, shops, pubs etc. One question I get a asked about being a painter & decorator is where do you start on a room? Well the answer is... it depends on what room you need painting & what you need painting, if you were painting and decorating a bedroom and wanted the ceiling, walls and wood trim painted then normally I would start at the ceiling & work my way down to the coving, then paint the walls with a quality emulsion like Little Greene or Mythic paint, and finally moving on to the skirting board and door frames etc. If painting skirting board I always mask the carpet or wood floor to protect the carpet from paint splatter. It's a fairly simple process but can take a bit of time to do it correctly so that you do not get paint down the side of the carpet. If you would like me to come and give you a quote for some work or even if you just want some advice please do not hesitate to contact me on East Grinstead 01342 318056 or my mobile is 07968 548772 www.paint-it-now.co.uk If you need a painter & decorator in the following areas... please contact me. Fantastic advice there, I have used Lee a number of times on my property in East Grinstead, and I must say his masking, painting & preparation are excellent.

Yes super advice, I tried to place masking tape down the side of my carpet so I could paint my own skirting board... but I had to get the Painters & Decorators in the then end.
